Khorezm and Chinese Nanning to develop multifaceted cooperation

Cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and China is planned to be expanded in the sphere of trade and economy, investment, agriculture, construction, textile and tourism.
As part of the visit of the delegation of the Khorezm region to China, a presentation of the trade, economic, investment and tourism potential of Khorezm was held in the city of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Dunyo news agency reports.

The event, organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, the government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Association for the Promotion of International Trade, was attended by representatives of almost 200 companies, trade, economic and tourism associations and business circles of the region.

As part of the event, the Chairman of the Guangxi Committee for the Promotion of International Trade Yang Yanyan noted that Uzbekistan is an important trading partner of China.
During the event, negotiations were held between business representatives of Uzbekistan and China, at which agreements were reached on the implementation of projects in areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. In particular, a memorandum of mutual cooperation was signed between the Guanxi Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Khorezm Region.

Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is located in southern China and has a population of over 50 million people. The administrative center and largest city is Nanning. In 2023, the GDP volume approached $400 billion. The region ranks first in China in the cultivation of tropical fruits.
